Little Heath and Brookmans Park Christmas Fun Tournament 2003

The Christmas Tournament was very well attended this year with 94 players. There were two sections, the Reindeers, comprising adults and junior county strength players (35) and everyone else (59 players) in the Elves section.

The Elves played in the large hall at Little Heath and it is fair to say that it was very noisy at times. By contrast the Reindeer were rather quiet grazing away in their two playing rooms under the control of Yvette Cook.

The chief Elf and Christmas Champion was William Moss with Christopher Neill and Simon Williams as runners up. Top girls were Radha Jain and Sophie Davies.

The Rudolph award went to Jeremy Fraser-Mitchell with a perfect 7/7 with Alistair Hunter and David Cairncross in the supporting roles on Christmas Eve.

Many thanks to everyone who took part and all the helpers. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
